  Great place for the startup Meetups in Latvia. TechHub Rīga organize them once per month on the first Thursday of the month. Preliminary agenda and speakers are announced about week in advance. More info could be found on Facebook page and via Meet Up app.

  A very vibrant and artistic recreational area with cafés, shops and art spaces, giving the former Central Market warehouse district a new look and feel. A concert hall, independent theatre and the Riga Ghetto Museum are also located here (although the ghetto was located elsewhere). The main square offers a wide cultural programme all year around. The downside is the accessibility of the area from Old Riga - the only secure crossing is the tunnel from the riverside on Krasta Street.

  Frequently hosting free public events, Spīķeri is one of the best places to meet new people in Riga, and it's only a ten minute walk from the city center. There are often free concerts with a variety of Latvian and international musicians playing, craft days, open air cinema nights and the Riga Flea Market also takes place nearby.

  Historic place, what used to be Ghetto. Nowadays it is creative district, where you can enjoy art, gigs and theater performances. Just take a nice walk along promenade and enjoy beautiful sunsets. In summer you can grab some fresh food from central market and have lunch by the benches.
